Top 7 Blu-Ray Disc Players

Considering the rate at which technology is advancing, it seems like distant past when people used to rely on DVD players to watch their favourite movies. The latest furor is over Blu-ray disc players. The time is not far when they will completely swipe off DVD players from the market. Blu-ray disc players provide users with 3D technology on high definition that takes viewing to an altogether different level. The best brands in the market, like Samsung, Sony, LG, Philips, Onida, Panasonic and Pioneer are all tapping the market and manufacturing these players.


LG, 3D Blu-ray Disc Player

It is a full HD disc player with 3D picture quality that allows you to access YouTube. One can search content and play their favourite video on full screen. Users can also access Picassa Web album and AccuWeather through their player. It has an audio support of Dolby True HD, Dolby Digital Plus and also DTS-HD Master Audio. The device has connectivity options like LAN, USB plus, BD Live, HDMI as well.

Samsung Blu-ray Disc Player

Samsung brings you a 3D Blu-ray player with DVD video and VCD 1.1. The users of Samsung Blu-ray device can share the content that is being played on their screen through an in-built feature using Internet. It offers you with a wide variety of Web apps and streaming services but lacks an in-built Wi-Fi which seems to be its biggest drawback. However, it does not stop you from downloading all your favourite movies, games, apps, social networking service etc without using your PC but just an Internet connection. It boasts of its sound quality with Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby true HD, DTS and MP3. This device is sure to make your experience everlasting.

Philips Blu-ray Disc Player

Philips, like you know, is a big brand in the consumer electronics market and is not too behind in the list of top Blu-ray Disc players in India. BDP5200/51 is a full HD 3D device with 1080p. It has audio qualities like Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolvy True HD, DTS. The device comes along with USB 2.0 port, ethernet connectivity, HDMI and SD card reader slot.

Sony Blu-ray Disc Player

It is a 3D enabled Blu-ray player with DLNA media streaming. It is Wi-Fi ready but requires a LAN adapter. The device comes with a few eye catching features. iPad, iPod and Android users can operate the device by simply downloading the Media Remote Mobile App. It gives access to Web browsing and Facebook as well and also includes two USB ports, one in the front and other at the rear. The player has an ethernet port for Internet connection along with Wi-Fi.

Panasonic Blu-ray Disc Player

The Panasonic DMP-BDT110 is the fastest player with a full HD 3D Blu-ray playback. It also features adaptive chroma processing with 2D to 3D conversion. The device provides pure audio on HDMI and is also wireless LAN ready. The Panasonic player is sleek and iPhone owners can use their handset for operating the player as well. The DMP-BDT110 has USB slot and also the SD card slot for connectivity.

Pioneer Blu-ray Disc Player

The pioneer BDP 440 player has a 3D playback and advanced networking features. It enables wireless LAN connection and features audio qualities with Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio. The PQLS provides jitterless transmission of uncompressed 2-channel or multi-channel LPCM, and also bitstream audio over HDMI to compatible Pioneer AV receivers. The device can be controlled using iPad, iPod, iPhone by downloading the Pioneer iControl AV2 app.

It includes an in-built ethernet port for Internet connectivity and runs at a high speed USB.2.
