Android Tablets Ruled At MWC 2012
Mobile World Congress 2012, which recently concluded at Barcelona, Spain, declared that 2012 will belong to the tablet devices. And Android emerged as the clear winner of the show. Moreover, many OEMs are banking on Google's platform solely for the success of their upcoming tablet devices. People who say that Android tablets are not performing may have changed their opinions after this show.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1)

Samsung has now announced the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) at the Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona. The latest version is much thicker and heavier than its predecessor Galaxy Tab 10.1 and also runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.Its design is different from the previous one as the stereo speakers are more prominently placed facing the front, states a Droid-life report. It also has an expandable memory support and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. The upgraded version comes with 7,000 mAh battery, a 3 MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. The other features of the Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) are the same as the Galaxy Tab.
Toshiba's 19.6-cm Tablet

Toshiba came as a surprise at the Mobile World Congress when it came unannounced with its 19.6-cm (7.7-inch) tablet. The tablet was spotted at the NVIDIA's booth as the chip maker company was using the device to show the gaming qualities of Tegra 3 chip. This new offing from Toshiba is very similar to Excite 25.7-cm (10.1 inch) tablet. The unnamed device is a sleek model with AMOLED display that is quite vibrant and provides greater viewing angles. It has a Micro SD and Micro USB port on one side. The Android 4.0 aka ICS powered device also features camera at both rear and front with an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad core processor. Toshiba has neither detailed about the product's availability nor the price.
ViewSonic E70 Tablet

The Android ICS-powered ViewPad E70 is the cheapest tablet amongst the lot showcased by ViewSonic at MWC 2012. It comes with a price tag of £129. The ViewPad E70 packs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The device sports a 17.8-cm (7-inch) touchscreen display, a front-facing camera, 1GHz processor and 4GB storage. The tablet comes Wi-Fi connectivity and microSD expandable storage up to 32GB.
ViewSonic ViewPad G70

This tablet from ViewSonic is priced at a higher price band as compared to the E70 model. The specs of the tablet device include 17.8-cm (7-inch) display screen, a 2-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 1GB RAM and 4GB storage and additional 32GB space via the integrated microSD card slot. The device further offers 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mini HDMI and Micro-USB. The ViewPad G70 is priced at £260.
ViewSonic E100

This Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich-powered tablet offers a big screen of 24.6-cm (9.7-inch) with 1024 x 768 resolution, IPS display and a 1GHz Cortex processor. It also features Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI, USB and microSD support with a 3G version. The tablet is priced at £260 for Wi-Fi and £325 for the 3G model.
ASUS Transformer Pad 300

ASUS Transformer Pad 300 runs on Android 4.0 and NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core processor. The features a 25.7-cm (10.1-inch) IPS display, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, also it sports 8MP rear camera and LTE connectivity. It is just 9.9mm thick and weighs 635 grams. Transformer Pad 300 will be the first device from ASUS to have the quad core processor.
ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity 700

This tablet features a Super IPS Plus 25.7-cm (10.1-inch) display, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 16/32/64GB internal memory and runs Android 4.0. RF window strip has been included across the back of the tablet to improve WiFi/GPS connectivity. It is 8.55mm thick and weighs 586 grams.
ZTE PF100

This tablet comes packed with 25.65-cm (10.1-inch) display screen with WXGA resolution, 5 megapixels camera, 1.5GHz NVIDIA T30S processor and the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. It packs 1GB of onboard RAM and 16GB of storage for the users. However, the ZTE T98 device packs a smaller 17.78-cm (7-inch) display.
