According to an official blog posting, “First up, the upgrade plans for Xperia T, Xperia TX and Xperia V are progressing as planned – these smartphones will start to receive Jelly Bean during February and March. Next up, Xperia P, Xperia J and Xperia go will be upgraded from the end of March. Then Xperia S, Xperia SL, Xperia ion and Xperia acro S will follow in the subsequent weeks. Sony has decided not to upgrade Xperia U, Xperia miro, Xperia tipo, and Xperia sola beyond Android 4.0. This might sound very disappointing as all these devices were recently launched and are somewhat eligible to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
In another incidence, Sony is planning to release it 12.7-cm (5-inch) based Android Jelly Bean phone. Sony has introduced a box type design in its Yuga and has discontinued with its arc shaped designs. The Yuga looks more like a big brother of LG Optimus smartphone in terms of the box like look.
The Yuga runs on the latest Android 4.1.1 operating system and is based on a S4 Pro quad core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. The device sports a 12.7-cm (5-inch) 1080p display screen along with 12 megapixel rear camera. The quad core processor is supported by 2 GB of RAM. The device is designed with a very thin bezel and houses virtual Android buttons.
