Google To Add Android To Its Touch Enabled Chromebook!

The Internet search giant is planning to release a totally Google made 32.6-cm (12.85-inch) touch enabled Chromebook in 2013.

Google has some serious plans for its Chrome operating system. Until now, Google supplied its open source Chrome operating system to OEMs like Acer, Samsung, etc. However, according to the latest reports, the Internet search giant is planning to release a totally Google made 32.6-cm (12.85-inch) touch enabled Chromebook in 2013. Google is even planning to integrate Android on to its Chromebook. Also, we might get to see the device at the Consumer Electronics Show in January next year. If this news is for real, then Microsoft Windows 8 convertible devices and the much talked about Surface might be in great danger.

The Samsung made Chromebook features 29.46-cm (11.6-inch) display, a Samsung Exynos 5 dual core ARM-based processor (Cortex-A15), 802.11n/Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, a USB 3.0 port, a USB 2.0 port, HDMI output, a VGA camera, 16 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM, 10 second boot time and instant resume from sleep. The device is priced at $249. On the other hand, Acer has introduced its C7 Chromebook at $199.
The C7 is powered by an Intel Celeron 847 processor with 2MB L3 cache, clocked at 1.10 GHz. It has 2 GB of DDR3 RAM and has 320 GB HDD for storing files. The Acer C7 sports an integrated HD 1.3 MP webcam with an LED indicator and microphone that can be used for video conferencing, as well as capturing videos and photos for sharing online and has a 29.5-cm (11.6-inch) HD widescreen CineCrystal LED-backlit LCD display screen.
