Samsung To Intro Ativ S WP8 Phone In India In December

Samsung is expected to unveil its Ativ S Windows Phone 8 (WP8) smartphone in the Indian market next month. The news was confirmed by company's spokesperson, who was present at Samsung Windows 8 launch event in the capital.
Samsung is the latest company to show its interest with WP8 devices in the market. Currently, only HTC is offering its latest devices 8S and 8X in India.

The Ativ S features a 12.1-cm (4.8-inch) HD Super Amoled display and is powered by 1.5 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB RAM. The device features a Near Field Communication and offers memory expansion. The phone sports an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.9 MP front-facing camera. The device also has Bluetooth and Wi-Fi with Tap+Send and GPS. This smartphone will be offered in 16 GB or 32 GB versions and there is a micro SD card slot to accommodate up to a 32 GB card. Samsung Ativ S comes loaded with a 2,300 mAh battery.
Looking at how Ativ S is similar to features of Galaxy SIII, we expect the device to be priced around Rs 36,000 which will help Ativ S compete with HTC 8X.
