Uninor Services To Shut In Three Circles By 18 Jan 2013

The service provider in Kolkata, West Bengal and Mumbai to wrap up in next two months.

2G Spectrum auction has been lucky for Telenor as it managed to win back six circles out of its nine circles. The service provider has asked its customers not to panic and port out from Uninor. Tweets stated that Uninor will make a public announcement and will send across a message to its subscribers for any upcoming network issues. Subscribers under those three cancelled circles can enjoy Uninor services for another two months. According to the reports, 30 days before network disruption, a message from Uninor will pop up on your screens of its subscribers.

“As the court verdict, Uninor can continue its services in cancelled circles till 18 January, 2013. So till then you can enjoy Uninor’s unmatched value for money tariffs without any further notice,” reports Telecom talk.
Currently, Uninor has been operating in East and West of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Kolkata, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat and Mumbai. And out of these nice circles it won back East and West of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and lost its circles in Kolkata, Mumbai and West Bengal.
Telenor is not losing its hope as there are chances that the telecom might buy Loop Mobile which operates in Mumbai.
Uninor is a joint venture between Telenor and Unitech, but Unitech will now exit the Uninor partnership. Telenor has already shaken hands with Lakshdeep Investments and this new venture will be called 'Telewings' which will own Uninor’s assets.
