CPC To Hold Raspberry Pi Hackathon

CPC, a Raspberry Pi distributor, has announced plans to run a 24-hour Raspberry Pi hackathon for 100 participants in the UK. The company will join hands with the University of Central Lancashire to hold the hackathon in Leeds on 1 and 2 December 2012. CPC said it would recognise participants for the best hardware and software designs based around the credit-card-sized computer.
According to a report by The Inquirer, entrants need to either work individually or in teams of up to four to participate in the Raspberry Pi hackathon. Also, they can either develop software or modify the hardware of the tiny computer. Entrants are also free to even solder components or change other electronics on the Raspberry Pi board should they wish, the report added.

David Deventer, head of marketing at CPC, told The Inquirer, "Raspberry Pi is revolutionalising the tech market and we wanted to host the UK's first dedicated hack-day to celebrate the most talked about gadget of 2012. We can't wait to bring Britain's best minds together for 24-hours of the most creative computing and watch the magic happen."
