Monday, November 19, 2012:
You can get a free 60-day trial of Office 2013 Professional Plus, courtesy Microsoft. Microsoft Office 2013 is the next generation desktop productivity suite.
Office 2013 is available for free trail via the TechNet Evaluation Center website. The desktop productivity suite entered the Release To Manufacturing (RTM) phase in October. The final code of Office 2013 is available to Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) and TechNet subscribers since October 24.

One can go for the free trial simply by following the instructions found at Microsoft's TechNet Evaluation Center website. Before you go for the free trail, you are advised to check the system requirements. Office 2013 is compatible with fairly modest hardware but you can run it on only Windows 7 and 8 systems. Windows XP and Vista users will be disappointed on this one.
Office 2013 ships in 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Microsoft has recommended that most of the customers should install 32-bit version because it offers better compatibility with older add-ons.
For those who want to create multi-gigabyte Excel spreadsheets are the exceptions and are advised to install the 64-bit version. For getting the free trail version, you will have to fill in some information about yourself on the TechNet website, which will then provide helpful product information and marketing materials from Microsoft and its partners.
After you have keyed in the information, you will get the product key and a link to download Office 2013. It weighs around 700 MB and your trial period begins once Office is activated using the product key.
Microsoft has not clarified as to how many markets can gain access to the free trail but the software is available in 13 other languages apart from English including Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Dutch, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. The company is, however, tight-lipped about the general availability date of Office 2013 but sources reveal that we can expect the software to arrive in the first half of 2013.
The software will be available in three configurations with a different mix of applications. The Home and Student edition will retail for $139.99, Home and Business will be $219.99, and Professional will be $399.99.
