Archos Arnova 8b G2 Tablet Unveiled

Archos has now launched a new Android tablet Archos Arnova 8b G2, which is a slight variation of the previously released Arnova 8 G2.

Archos has added a new tablet to its low cost Android tablet portfolio with the launch of Archos Arnova 8b G2. The latest Android tablet is successor to the Arnova 8 G2 model which was launched earlier in the market.
The new Arnova 8b G2 tablet comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. At the same time, the revamped design of the tablet such as different case design and lack of physical home, back, menu, or search buttons suggest that Archos is planning to update the tablet with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as this platform doesn't require the hardware buttons.

The key features of this device include an 20.32-cm (8-inch) capacitive multitouch display with 800 x 600 pixels, a front-facing camera, 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 single core processor 4GB to 8GB of storage and 512MB of RAM, details Liliputing.
The new Archos tablet comes preloaded with g-sensor, speaker, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi support and a microSDHC card slot for extra storage. The device further supports the optional Archos 3G USB stick and USB host cable.
There is no official word on the pricing or the release date of Archos Arnova 8b G2 tablet as yet.
