Thursday, February 09, 2012:
SatGuide, known for its GPS-based devices, has come out with a new handset which is specially meant for kids. The new handset from SatGuide--the Child Phone--is a GPS tracker enabled phone.
The phone keeps the parents updated with the exact location of their kids. The handset does not have a screen, making it simpler for kids to operate it. Parents can set specific numbers on the handset and the child can call only those pre-configured numbers in case of an emergency.

|
The Child Phone is said to feature a superior GPS receiving sensitivity (more powerful than the regular A-GPS), fast TTFF (Time To First Fix) and GSM frequencies 900/1800/1900MHz. The phone is also quite small in size, so it is easier for kids to handle the device.
Parents can even locate their kids at all times on a map through a Web login without disturbing them. They can also create a virtual fence, say the school or the home, for their child and if the child leaves that fence, they are notified.
The phone is available in India at Rs 4,990. Click here to place the order of the Child Phone from SatGuide's website.
